Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is widely praised for her pioneering the science of eyewitness memory in children as well as using children who have been abused to be legal witnesses. Professor Goodman publishes widely has received numerous grants, and was awarded many national and international awards. She has advised many government agencies and governments around all over the world on policy as well as research related to the treatment of child victims in the justice system. She serves as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional organizations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She is a founding member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
